 Post subject: Can you be Alu and retro

Can you be a good retro head if your liking is for metal of the Aluminium kind. Had various steel framed bikes over the years, Breezer,Alpinestars,Kona,DBR and Orange amongst others, but the bikes I like riding best have all been alu ones.
Just seem to feel more confident and in control with the direct feel of the beer can material and too often felt riding a steel frame was like trying to get to grips with a wriggly snake.
Anyhoo, this is my latest project (1997 Rockhopper FS) slightly incomplete, but purchased for the grand sum of £75 and very much looking forward to getting it up and running

Pace, Klein, Cannondale, S Bike, GT, Orange, Alan, Vitus... Lots of classic names, lots of classic alu!
