I use the Biketart stuff, or else some that I get from a friend who works for Flybe (which is 3M)
Either way, I only use it in cable rub areas (like on the headtube) and usually on the underneath of the downtube towards the BB where stones that get thown up by the front wheel hit.
I hate seeing every square millimetre of a bike covered in the stuff, even though if it's well applied it's practically invisible and, in my experience, no dirt gets underneath.

Dr S, what's the stuff that you use sold for? Repairing silage/haylage wrap?
