Cross Baiku. 1st in two weeks. Two clothing changes before departure. Another after 4 miles. Cold headwind. Road. Sluggish. Low energy. Pootle rather than spin. View. Breathe. Smell. Sense. 8miles, change outfit. Climb. Stunning vista. 12miles, change again. Can't regulate temperature. Feel the reason for no riding is returning. Damn, it is. Cough re-emerges. 18miles, finish. Add layers. Desperate for more. Damage limitation. Next ride Sussex Meet. this was and that will be the best ride of my life.

Sunday morning...6am alarm call...pick up SPESHMIKE...drive to Sherwood Forest...crisp fresh morning...register for charity ride...thrash into first bend...damn chainsuck...over the first hill crest...grab a few foot of styled air 
...squeak coming from front disc brake...stop riding to fiddle...curse bike lots :x ...lots of climbing...still lots of climbing...beautiful views...sun finally out...legs now hurting...reach the half way point...time to dig deep...get second wind...second wind soon passes...final 5 miles agony for thighs...see the finish banner...final sprint...36miles...£146 raised for the British Heart Foundation...best ride ever
