 Post subject: Can anyone ID this?

Picked this up at the weekend but can find no info despite giving google a good hammering.
What I do know-
Aly frame
30.9 seat tube id
Shockworks Gas rear shock
Fsa headset
STX-RC cranks dated august 97
Serial number stamped under BB B98040381
fitted with a Rock Shox psylo XC Fork (i think this is a later addition)

Can anyone help if its a beaut or a dog!!!

Front end looks very Marin but swing arms are different.. can't find anything in the saracen or MF ranges though.

yeah, front end of frame looks just like a Marin B17 i had a while back, but the swingarm?! :? :roll:
