i'd say the decals place it among the last of the canti-equipped models. 96, 97 ish.

Well spotted , i have only just noticed on the pics as its been stuck in the garage around the usual kids bikes and car parts!!!

CCE , thanks for that info. If i contact orange with frame number will they give me the original build spec, etc??

Bike is obviously "work in progress " at the moment so go easy on me :) :)

Hi ,

Gives about 1 1/2" in old money or about 38 to 40mm

that build looks largely original tbh

original wheels would have been a similar spec set of hubs, with either Orange/Fir rims (good luck finding those) or lower-end mavics

there's a nice set of LX hubs on mavic M400 rims on the bay at the moment, would complement this lovely if it's 7-speed

Yes its a 7 speed , have you got the ebay link for the wheels !

A mate of mine had a look at the build spec and he says the same.
