It's a little-known website, but since the dawn of the digital age have been saving copies of websites. If you use the wayback machine, you can find some real gems, such as Ibis old website (I even found the factory-clearance softail I've always regretted not buying):

Well worth a bump, great site.
It's a little patchy but there is a lot of stuff on bike specs etc on the
old GT website copies. Probably similar for others. from 1996 ! ... ntain.html
