Does anyone run one of these?

Old School Grand Master
I have been cycling two days on the trot for the first time in quite a while. One of my bikes has a USE suspension post, the other the original Prestige XT one. After 20 odd road miles on the second one I have had to adopt the 'John Wayne Walk'. Do I get another USE one, (I hate the clamp), a Post Moderne one or one of these. Advice?

Sorry wouldn't go near such a 'thing' I started cycling this year for the first time in 12 yrs. And my first week of just cycling to work also was painful. But now my body has hardened up. Also i found that it depends on which pair of shorts i wear. My cheap pair have more padding. I only have USE carbon post with new flite XP seats.

ive sold a few off the thudbusters in the shop and every single one sold had had great reviews!

:D

Probably Wrong saddle & too much tyre pressure. Suspension seat posts do no good at all!!! Nothing to do with a sore set of sit bones!
What's the bike? What's the saddle? Whats the tyre pressure/tyre combo?
First off Hard saddles are always comfier! no movement between you and the shell.

More to saddle and shorts.... set saddle horizontal with a level, tweak from there. Get good shorts. best you can afford, go commando, if necessary buy minty arse lard and use it carefully. Wiggle are selling off DHB shorts and things in their sale at the mo. Bargaintastic

if you're going to get a sus seatpost the thudbuster is the only one to use - I got one to help allow me back on the bike after a really bad collar-bone break and it was ace!

I had this issue recently after a summer of no cycling and lots of walking, took about a week for the tendons and muscles to re-adapt to cycling.

...buy minty arse lard and use it carefully

I couldn't find this product online are there specialist shops? :)

Cheers for the advice guys. Trouble is more or less every ride I do is the first ride in a while. Too much else going on with house/kids/work etc. Gone are the days of 200-300 miles a week, never had a problem back then. I wear top quality kit and Selle Turbomatic III's on all my fleet. I use a surveying total station to measure between key points on the bike to ensure position doesn't change. That's why I thought of one of these as with geometry/position the same, the post I have must be making a difference especially with lower back pain. The name Thudbuster is pretty cool as well.
