I purchased this a year ago. Previous owner could not remember the model, but said it was an early version with about 3" of travel...and predates the 6" travel models. Anybody have / had one of these? Only thing I can figure out is that it might be a "Hanebrink XC ____" (something - fill in the blank). They still work, believe it's a spring inside. 20mm thru hub, early Hays brake mount. Adjustable crowns. Looks heavy, but it's very light...less than most 80mm forks.

Any ideas?

It's the xc model, there was a test ride on MBA. It was mounted on a Lodestar Magnesium bike, and I think it was Dan's personal bike. In the mag there was even a comparative test with a sid. I'll let you know if I I find the copy of the mag in question
