Probably a bit dubious to suggest it 'came' from there. Same with most things it was an evolution.

Bikes started in Scotland, were mass produced in England, gears came from France, brakes from Italy... Think a place called Japan may have done something along the way...

Anyway. Possibly.

How did they get the Chrysler building over here? :? I saw it in NY 2001 Thats one big move

Spent a year living in the US, had a hellish time (work related, the people are lovely), bought a Seven and had this written on the side of it:

although I'd also add that the best this to come out of the states are philly cheese steak sandwiches and buffalo wings
