I've only just found this thread, and it deserves a bump.

Carl, I'm not a huge fan of late 80's to early 90's bikes, but that Overburys is something else.

How do you guys find these rare machines?

@NeilM I forgot about this collection and neglected to add my latest steel acquisition. Thanks for bumping the thread. 23lbs of hand built Reynolds 853 goodness. Follow the link in my sig for details.

Well to be honest, when i got it, it was a bit of a shed to be fair,
buckled wheels, scabby paint, bearing races in need of replacement,
shot tyres, and just....well a 20 year old tired bike.

Certainly not the way to ride a new bike for the first time....,
and a quick whip round the block, confirmed my suspicions, it was a bag of old bolts, that needed work.

And work....it has had. Im nearly there with it now, and it will get a decent ride in due course.......... 8)

It's the finding of these machines in the first place that has me puzzled. Good luck, serendipity, hard detective work, whichever it is, I must develop the skill, as there are one or two bikes I would (in time) like to fit in my garage.

Great thread though.
