nah,its a rapid-rise mech,that device reverses the mechs action,so you shift up on the shifter to go down the block,theyre bloody confusing!

I saw a Deore reverse action one but it looked like a normal mech - this seems a bit over elaborate??

The original rapid rise xtr mechs 953?? had that device on as standard. Then they dropped it :?

Yep my 1998 mount vision pro came with that. Standard XTR equipment back then.

Rolla-ma-jig was a pulley that made it smoother and easier to shift or at least that was what is was meant to do.
