.. another problem to fill the day..................
here it is , just gone to fit the odyssey rods to my brakes on the frs,
and the cable pinch bolt and the bolt that secures the straddle rods are different sizes ...
so my problem is , do i drill out the brakes ( NOS ) and rethread to be able to fit and forever altering them , or not bother
there is a bit of colour difference too , ( just being too anal on that i think )

oh yeah , got some more BLUE too

waddya think ?????

i can understand your doubt about permanently altering the original. to me, that should be avoided whenever possible...especially for rare or significant items. in this case, i would probably just make a new straddle rod bolt with the 'old' threading.

i know , thats what i was thinking ...
once its done its done .
not sure i could get one of those made up though , fiddly looking little bugger
maybe i could get the larger made smaller ????

Slim,

Any machine shop with at lathe and a mill could fab up a new one for you though it would not be cheap.

Turning the original down would be near impossible as it would be extremely difficult to secure the piece for the machining due to it's size.

good luck,

rody
