RM20's are a bit more heavy duty and if you're a heavier/less skilled* rider may be a better choice front and rear - RM17's were a narrower race orientated rim.

*not insinuating that you are either fat or can't ride but you have suggested the Saracen may become a regular rider and i think RM20's will require less maintenance.

Yep, I have RM-20's in super hard flavour, and I am a right fat bastard and cant ride for love nor money! They have stayed true though, so they must be good.
