BB question

I have taken the BB out (deore LX) but the rubber gaiters have persihed. Can I get these or do I have no chance?

just get a new BB - a sealed cartridge UN54 wont break the bank and will last well.

I wanted to keep it original wherever possible, and there is no wear on it apart from the rubber

As this is one of the parts on your bike that shows its age then a new BB will make it feel smooth and new again - then you can get out there and not worry about your rubbers...!!
