Little Help Please... Pace Question...

Hi, I'm looking to buy a Pace RC200 F8. I was wondering if anyone could help decipher the frame number? I'd like to know what year it was created? The frame number is: XC818029

XC818029
XC Cross country
8 F8
18 size 18"
029 Number 29

Mine is F618022 No ref to year. Ring pace, they can help.
RC200F6 18" number 22.

Not that this adds anythng as Stick Legs has explained it perfectly, but mine was F616174 and was in the last batch of 5 made in '97 which I thought was slightly interesting as it showd how many they made a year.

but not that interesting.

My f8 is XC816283.... built on 08/03/02. I believe they built a maximum of 100 a year so sometime in 2000 to hazard a very wild guess.
