Hello guys and gals,

A couple of months ago I picked up an old Peugeot bike from a LBS for only a few pennies. On a budget as small as possible she is being converted to SS for my commuter bike.

One thing I would like to do is to get her painted. No I don’t mean ARGOS painted I mean DIY. I’ve sprayed a couple of bikes in the passed with varying levels of success – My Spesh was three different colours before it was stolen!:(

Any help/advice on paint types (makes?) would be most appreciated – get me out in the sun!

Kona Kid I like your candles idea! :D :D :D

honestly? I'd take it to your local car garage paint shop for £30. rattle can paint never seems to stay on for very long despite hours of prep.

powder coating is also a very good option

as long as you strip the frame well (or you get it sand / media blasted)

my local powder coaters will do a frame and forks for £25

its tough and is far superior in finish than anything you can do with a rattle can
