I see! Must admit the Bavarian lager I tried was excellent - my mate lived near the Andechs (I think it was that one!) brewery and we tried some there - no chemical crap in it.

Yeah, the purity law does make the beer a lot nicer. The weisse beer still gave my head one hell of a battering though! 
Unfortunately the spa town in Bavaria that i went to was in the flattest area ever. We went for a ride and the views were pretty but we never broke a sweat.
