I was reading the thread on parts you were most proud of BITD, and it interested me to see how often the phrase "and I still have it/them today" cropped up".
Made me think... which parts have you still got that are going strong after years of abuse, just will not give up the ghost no matter what you throw at them.
Might give some of us an idea of things to look out for: as we all know expensive doesn't necessarily mean well-built or durable.

1 - XT rear mech c.1994
2 - SPDs (the LX/DX ones from 1993)
3 - Flite Titanium saddle c.1993
4 - Hope XC hub 1995 (admittedly on 2nd set of bearings)
5 - Orange X1 frame
