Yours looks lovely miss money penny, I do love a black and silver build with a hint of colour to finish :-)

here's mine!

build thread is here:

http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... ht=#635171

I love mine too, always wanted one when I was younger but couldn't afford one so when i had the chance to buy and refurb this one I jumped at it!

looks a tiny bit different now as I'm using WI ENO eccentric rear hub so no need for ugly chain tensioner now... I really should take soem up to date pics!

no not original, when i got it it was a bit shabby, structurally perfect but the paintwork and decals were scuffed and chipped so i had it stripped and powdercoated locally.

The finish is really good and the colour came out really well :-)

is that a switchblade with fwd facing dropouts? whats the story with that?

GT had similar adjustable drop-outs back around 91-93ish. You can see them here on my buddy's Xizang.

*edit*

Very nice!
Any idea of the "paint" code?
It's similar to the "team blue" used by S.E. Racing on their BMXs, though that has varied a lot over the years. I think VW, Porsche and Fiat have done similar powder-blue colors, but I don't see many around for reference.

Here's a poor pic of my Race-Lite:

sporting Ti Bontrager bars too.. It's set up a bit weirdly with a fairly high rise Syncros stem and caged SPDs but it works really well for me- climbs beautifully and is just the right length so I can hang off the back on descents.

I've just tracked down a Ti-Lite frame so will have two soon :D :D

Yey, Gil_m contacted me today to let me know he is back and can sort out my new stickers. I am so happy  finally the last piece of the puzzle! :D

Does anyone have a top pull conventional Deore XT front mech that would fit my bonty....? Not 100% happy with the gear change on the one I have as its an E type. :(

Wish i had Bonterager bet they ride well- liking their components especially the older BCX rims :D

BCX rims are the only Bontrager gear I can claim to own. I did clean up these BCX3 rims after this photo was taken, honest... :)
