After finally finishing the re-build of my Bontrager, I have to say I LOVE it! Took over 3 months to do it, but with a lot of help....Got there in the end....haven't got back on my Rocky since (but will do!) 8)

Would love to see other people's Bontrager's too, there must be loads of Bonty fans out there....so this is your chance to show the world how cool they really are..... :D

That bloke popping his head out of the back of the van is the funniest thing I have seen in ages.

Love bontragers. Not well enough represented on here. Yours looks superb, is that original paint?

Thanks RobMac....got the frame off evilbay from santacruz and it seemed to take forever. Certainly can't take the credit for the snowflake wheels but bought some lovely parts from other members here and also on good ole evilbay. Finally pursuaded a friend/fellow member to part with the forks, to finish it

It all has a understated quality look about it, I missed the snowflake wheels not my favourite pattern but the Hope hubs make up for it

lol....yeh i think he thought he was missin out on something! :D

I agree, i am really pleased with it - even more so than I thought I would be.

With regards to the paint, no it's not. I had it powder-coated but wanted it understated. My cars are black and decent modern girlie bikes always come in girlie colours and I wanted something a bit simple but a little more hardcore than that.

My brother's have raced for years so I have always been around bikes. I know the wheels are not for everyone but I have always loved them - and I decided to have them built to add my (probably girlie) touch! lol

I was in the shop in Barnstaple and I saw a cotic, a modern one. I thought the slim tubes looked stunning and totally different to my Rocky Mountain. One of the guys i ride with said if i loved that, i would love a Bontrager because they ride really well and its the original.

As Bontrager sadly are no more, Cotic have tried to fill the gap. The frame came up for really sensible money and I decided to give it a go...SO glad i did

A Bontrager has been on my wanted list for ages but none seem to come along in my size.

Nice build to boot :)
