Cool bike.... I remember choosing between that one or my Raleigh Discovery back then. Is the Mirage or something (or was that the lime-green one?).

Nope... me neither, but to be honest the first thing that went through my head was "DAMN! That's that bl**dy Mirage I always wanted but had to settle for the Discovery". I believe the Mirage was about 150 pounds more expensive than the Discovery and my parents (who were paying for the bike) thought 800 pounds was enough for a bike to use for going to school ( that's what they thought it was gonna be used for, solely hehehe :twisted: )

Cool bike it was, even though purple is a girlie colour

Yeah my Discovery had thumbies as well... 100% aerospace compisite probably tupperware plastic haha

Had some great times on that bike!! And the good thing was that those 200GS thumbies had a slide in the top, so you could set them looser or firmer with a coin
