Keep them coming chaps. Still thinking white might be a winner.

Anyhow turns out my Race Lite is actually a Race of a slightly later vintage to that which I thought  . Reckon it's a late pre-Trek frame, it has two piece seatstays but no front mech roller. A few pics here > http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/mai ... emId=27441 . What do the experts reckon ??

Yeah, i've seen that page. Definitely a Race due to lack of headtube machining. Just not sure of the age.

tough call, no roller, tigged guides, vertical dropout and a seat collar that look like some of the brazed frames..

Damn, new there was something odd about the seatclamp. Now you've pointed it out the welded on clamp is blindingly obvious

At a bit of a loss with this frame and it's vintage, may have to throw things open to the rest of the Bonty experts on mtbr vrc....

Already scanned through these threads and not seen another similar frame. The seatclamp does look similar to that you've pictured which I assume is also the same as on Rumpfy's Cx bike > http://forums.mtbr.com/blog.php?do=showentry&e=1120

Unless for some reason this was done from new I'm guessing it will be a repair job :? Will get some better pics and put them up soon...
