I've seen a stem that I would like to go for but you know the score, it has to be a minimum order of $100 and I dont need anything else at the mo.

Give me a shout and we can get the ball rolling.

SHIFT91 Suntour XC Expert Thumb Shifter pair: XC Expert (same as XC Pro except for top cap), rear shifter can be used 7 or 8 speed index and does have a friction option (quantity is dwindling on these) NOS 1990's $49.99 pair

Any idea if the clamps are alloy or steel on these?

If they're alloy then i'll be tempted depending on how much extra shipping is? :)

Drop 'em a line they have been helpful in the past.
I had a set on my Klein and I am pretty sure they are alloy.

No problem mate, currently running my rapidly deteriorating DX thumbies in friction and frankly enjoying the freedom. Perhaps we should all free ourselves from the shackles of Shimano's fascistly rigid indexing!

When you know the total i'll get the money by Paypal or cheque, whichever you prefer.

Any progress yet mate?

My thumbies are gonna be falling out of their clamps soon, and replacements are going for silly money on eBay
