just recieved this of e bay ....
pretty good condition apart from one chip
but on the rear there is the no. FD M 565
( you can just make it out in the pix )
there is no evidence of the cage being removed , and as scant said ,
aerospace skills required .
question = why has an XT front mech got an LX cage no.

or have i missed something ??????

Given the mechs are rivetted together i'd have thought it unlikely that someone has stripped two mechs and created a cut and shut. I wonder if some oem mechs used a cheaper cage on higher spec mechs. :twisted:

Can't think what it is exactly. the Grolsch has taken effect.
Its original equipment that is supplied to manufacturers. They do stuff like different steerers on forks, rims that you can't buy aftermarket, etc.
