Hello,

Had some really good advice from you guys (and gals) so here goes again!

(Mark promises to repay countless favours......one day! One voucher per person!)

Quick question:

How much leeway do frames tend to have with regards to the size of seat posts?

My Kona originally came equipped with a 27.0 sized post but 27.2 seems more common now.

Does anyone know if a 27.2 should/would fit in a 27.0 sized hole?!

A fiend of mine had a Zaskar, and he changed the seatpost to a better looking Kore I had left.
Later I found the old Kore, I looked at the post and saw it was a 27.0
My Kore was a 27.2. They both fit in.
I heared my GT LTS should have a 27.0 and I always use 27.2

And.. I have a zaskar frame on the wall (yes that one <----) and I bought it as a 27.0 seattube, tried a 27.2 and it fits.
So answer will be a yes from me.

it depends on the frame itself some older frames could talk a 27.2 and some cant but 99.9% of the time you can get away with it if not DONT FORCE IT or it will f*** your frames seat tube then you have to take it to your lbs where i get to laugh at people that just dont lisen and try my best to remove it (lol this happend recently the young lad just wouldn't listen) ps use a bit of copper slip as long as it isn't carbon makes life so much easyier
