Kona - Muni Mula

Hi,

I have a 1997 Kona Muni Mula. I'm not sure on the year, but think that's right! It's red with mainly LX groupset, grip shifts, Avids and some Indy XC's. Can anyone confirm the year? I think it retailed at about Â£900 back then.

Anyway I just was wondering what sort of money the bike is worth now?

I've owned it from new, and kept it in good shape. It could do with a bit of a service, as it's not been used much in the last few years.

Any advice appreciated!

Just found a link to the 1997 brochure. It was the 1997!

Just not sure if to sell her, or spend the money to bring her back upto date...

Depends what you want a bike for really. If you're looking for an all round trail bike and aren't bothered about having disk brakes etc then why not do her up, if you're more interested in hurtling down mountains then sell and get a full susser ..

I guess I'd be using it as an allround bike. If I was to look for a new bike that suited my needs, I'd probably go for a Specialised Rockhopper Disc.

I guess I just wondered how much the bike was worth now, as if I'm going to spend around Â£200 on it, I may be better selling it and putting the money to a new one.

Having said that, it would be nice to restore the Kona to it's former glory as it's a great frame.
