After the frame repair and lots of polishing, I picked up the fully built Xizang from my LBS today.
Lots of titanium parts and NOS XTR M900 and NOS Pulstar based wheels.
23.5 lbs including SID's, flat peddles and cages and ti bar ends.
I won't post pic's until i've got some repro custom decals from Gil.
This is without doubt the retro build i have taken the most pride from.
Rescuing a USA built titanium frame from the scrap bin is very rewarding.
It looks and rides great!
Pic's in a couple of weeks ;)

Sounds good Gareth - look forward to the pics. Is this a U-Brake version or one of the later cantis frames?

Loved those Ti GT's BITD, really looking forward to seeing the final build mate...good work!

first ride today and noticed the difference in riding a titanium frame.
first 5 miles were great, imagined myself entering the mountain bike hall of fame.
when i finaly finished after 15 miles i was a complete wreck.
almost got over taken by a little girl on a pink barby bike.
disgrace!
more like that gay chap, with the leg warmers, from 'the kids from fame', than the mtb hall of fame!
oh well, i'll just keep on trying to get fit ;)

HaHa

What does titanium feel like?

don't worry, collecting pretty bikes is half the 'sport' :D

My £?k suspension bike buddies pretty much were just as girly as me looking down drop offs and steep decents which is nice , as i followed most of what they did on my sub £1k hardtail, not retro XC though, that would be mad!
