I don't ride as much as I used to, or even should.

On one hill there is a place that is just beautiful. Its a slog to get there but the view and tranquility is amazing. There is a bench there and its dedicated to a chap called 'John Daniels' who apparently loved the place too. I go riding to sit on the bench and chat to John, don't know who he was or what he did to deserve his own bench. We take in the view together and he listens to me, silently. He's always there waiting for the next time I need him.
