I need some brake studs for a frame, but all the recent brakestuds don't fit. The size is M8, but the tread is wider than the modern ones. It's for a Cannondale P-bone fork and a 1996 Trek 8000 frame.
Which studs do I need?

Simod had the same problem, he bought some pepperonni's, the thread in these were 3/8 unc.

A lot of US stuff is imperial, IIRC they're the same as the ones on the back of FATs.

Is it on all bikes that the thread is different on newer bikes?

I think a lot depneds on where the frame builder is buying supplies.

There is no swap over date as stuff is still produced today with imperial threads.
