Does anyone remember Mountain Biker International Magazine?

Hi I was wondering if anyone else on here remembers Mountain Biker International Magazine? It was by far my favourite bike mag back in the day.
I used to buy it religiously every month from about 1998 to 1999, does anyone know what happened to it?
I loved the places to ride feature and drooling at all the tech at the time.

Yes, got a load somewhere. Though Mountain Bike Action was my favourite for exotic bikes, used to drool over the bikes and frames that were always in the ads in the first few pages.

But like Mk one I was a Mountain Bike Action fan, just had a thing about US bikes.

That's the one, thanks for posting the pic of that, I started getting into mountain biking in early '98 so I' m guessing there'd have been a lot of American makes on the scene by then. I remember MBI raving on about the Scott Endorphin and at the time thinking how it looked like something from the future, another issue they went on about the history of the Orange Clockwork.
Mountain Bike Action rings a bell, was that easy to get hold of here in the UK? What was the mag that had a list of pretty much every bike started at £299 price range and going up to silly money?

Another one I remember featured readers homemade bikes and showed a full susser someone had built from scratch, it was crazy and impressive.

Loved MBi back in the day!

My first copy was September 1991. I still remember there being a Rocky Mountain Altitude review in there. Thought the bike was awesome with all the Syncros bits including powerlite forks. The Tim Gould column in the back was a cool touch.

I then pretty much had all the magazines up to around early 1994, including that JMC front cover..stored in a box for safe keeping

Sadly said box went missing when my parents moved house, after I left home. I'm still cautiously optimistic that they might all resurface again. Needless to say I'll have the scanner fired up!

Used to buy all the mags from the late 80s onwards. MBI seemed to pay homage to the niche US Import mags ( picked these up in TCR from huge mag specialist shop ) but mostly lagging a few/6 months behind. For me the US mags had the unobtainable stuff of dreams. In the early 90s the UK’s high end scene seemed to kick in on its own, which was cool.

This thread has reminded me that there used to be another UK mag. It only lasted about half a dozen issues. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called but I do remember that Paul Smith was a regular contributor before making the move to MBUK/MTB Pro. Obviously, it was very heavy on the tech side of things. Anyone remember what it was called?

Along with MBUKs, I've got a few copies of MBI (all of '96 i think, plus a few '95 and '97) , one MBA, one MBG and something called 'Mountain Bike'.
