Loads of old skool BMX brake levers styles look sweet! Especially diacompe
Wondering if anyone has used it if it’s possible to use BMX levers on a set of cantis ?

Or - even if anyone has used BMX specific brakes on a retro MTB

Thanks guys
As there are some funky cool looking BMX levers around which I’d love to add to a retro MTB ride - anyone have any pics of their ones ? Eg the MX88?

Re:

Back in the mid 90's my mate ran diacompe xce shortstop. Worked fine with 200gs cantis.
Funky, bling...narr...was a 92 marin muirwoods. Matte black worked well.

Bmx handle bars are standard 22.2mm as most handlebars. The Bmx confusion your having is the old bmx quill stems for the early bikes was 21.1mm which was a result of USA and more precisely Schwinn's attempt to dominate the market with its own standards. All the big bike manufacturers have tried it and thankfully mostly failed. International standards prevail and 22.2 wins.
