1” threadless/Ahead headsets... what’s out there? What’s cool? What did Pace use?

Pace (if i understand correctly what they did) use some custom-machined parts for their ahead-like system.

The nicest ahead headset (still available new) is Campag Record. It's a brilliant headset with lovely smooth bearings and a steal at around £45. If you manage to find an older ones NOS, then it has grease ports in the side of the lower race under the black rubber ring.

Ah, interesting... hence there being no old Pace ones around?

So far I’ve found an FSA, a Kane Creek and a Campagnolo Chorus...

Take your pick.... https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/headsets-1-ahead/

I have the Humpert/Ergotec headset on my Orange Prestige, does a fine job for the £20 it cost :)
