Replacement jockey wheels

It's been a long time since I've needed to replace some of these, so what's the current thinking? Stay OEM or look at BBB or similar?

It's for a M735 XT, so 7 speed.

I've used BBB and they tend to be as good if not better than oem Shimano - sealed bearings less aggro

I've used various aftermarket jockeys ranging from bling to basic. Original shimano ones have a degree of float designed into them which is supposed to aid shifting. Not sure how much difference this makes in reality as I've used sealed alloy ones with no float and never noticed a difference, just mentioning as oe ones will have this if you care.

Main thing is to get ones with the correct tooth count as the originals as there are various out there now.

Cheers both. I do remember that float point. Guess it makes sense on paper, but as you say, probably undetectable in use.
