New Freehub needed for XT M737 Hub, what are my options?

Retro Newbie
I need to replace the free hub on my XT M737 rear hub.
I was looking for new and cheap Shimano jobbie but the bike shop I took it into says this type are not available new anymore!
Is this true?
What are my options?
and what models do fit?

I will be replaceing the 2 month / 1000 mile old 8 speed cassette too as they seem to have become 1!

Cheers

Its a shame your bicycle shop gave you poor information!

I have the same hubs, the freewheels dont last as long as more budget models

I replaced mine with a freehub body from a Deore hub.

A later 760 freehub with better seals (although you can re-use the XT one if needed)

Measure things up as you may want to take that silver spacer off the original - I cant remember if I did!

Just bare in mind you may be better off buying a whole hub as you may need to swap and change some spacers and seals to make everything fit.

I dont remember it being too much of a faff though.

Then take the wheel and the Freehub back to your local bike shop and ask the $h1] heads to fit ....

Being in the trade you’d think they’d be want to help - but I’ll bet they’ll try and pull your pants down smack your arse and then sell you a whole cheap shit Chinese monkey metal back wheel for £50

Re:

Thank you people for your help.
I have ordered the XT hub and a HG50 11-28 replacement casette.

Ill be back with questions if i cant get that to work

But while I have your attension the reason this came about is after upgrading to new 36t and 48t chainrings the chain slips on the 11t cog and only under torque. I straight away replaced the chain which then it slipped worse. Ive undone the B screw so the top jockey wheel is now further forward and that has lessened the slipping to occasionally.
The whole HG-41 11-34t cassette inc 11t cog is only 1000 miles old and old chain was only 1500 miles old. New BBB jockey wheels have been installed today and it still slips under torque.
Any ideas anyone?

M760 Parts Diagram: https://si.shimano.com/pdfs/ev/EV-FH-M760-2265.pdf

FH-M737 uses a Y3SA98010 or Y32P98010 or Y32R98010 free hub.

Y3SA98010: FH-M565, FH-MJ05

Y32P98010: FH-M910

Y32R98010: FH-M910

Im not sure this has cleared much up in my head!!
Does this say the M737 hub uses the 3 free hubs with model no. Y3........
And those Y3 models can also be used on M565, and M910 hubs? So Free hub bodies that fit M565 and M910 hubs will fit M737 hubs?
Also this doesnt match with what is said above!

Re:

910 is XTR hubs, so they’ll be expensive and a no-go.... If you can find a donor FH-M565 hub (LX) that, according to the Tech Docs, should have a direct, compatible freehub, as the same part number is listed.

As previously mentioned, other freehubs will fit with a bit of tinkering, but LX hub *should* be a like-for like swap.

If any one ever comes across this thread looking for answers the above mentioned free hub I ordered fits perfectly fine.
Thanks for everyones help.
