Re:

Thanks KIS,

The colour really works doesn't it.

Selling is something I'm giving thought to, but it's so difficult to value - rarety & money spent don't usually equate to real world value so there's s good chance I'll end up keeping it. I did put up a 'How much is it worth' thread but didn't get any answers.

Keep me in mind if you do, whenever that is. Will happily try and strike a deal as it looks my size and yes - lovely colour

Re:

1989 RockCombo definitely one of my favorites. The original for was gone when I got it.

Here's my '88 RockHopper with newly trial fitted Sakae riser bar. Have been tweaking the fit on this with different bars and stems as I just love the retro vibe of this bike with it u-brake and dorky looking angles.
Original Sakae stem felt horrendously short to me so fitted a close matching alternative Sakae that's about 40mm longer, fit feels so much better - but may end up going for something with a smidge less rise once this bike has finished toddler carrying duties.

Is going to be fully upgraded to Deore II components, just haven't gotten round to fitting parts other than brakes/shifters yet.
It may also end up with a u-brake up front as I need to address a wonky brake tab on the fork, and I have a spare matching XT ready to be fitted.. Saying that, the original MT60 up front is very pretty.

Everyone should ride an 80's Spesh, they're fab.
