ever heard of Horst Leitner ...

Does anyone remember a frame builder in the Uk who used AMP rear ends? I want to say his name was 'Tutin' or something like that.. i remember a guy i used to ride with circa 1997/98 had one with Marzocchi DH3's....be interesting to know if i'm right or its all just a figment of my imagination..
 
The only UK builder that I can think of who definitely used an AMP back end was Greg Fuquay (From Alabama, but briefly here, so I think we can claim him).

He used the B4 rear end, not the longer strut B3 one to make the Dexter full suss in 1997. It wasn't an elegant thing, and soon after he returned to his aerospace career in the US.:

Only this one ever seen...was on eBay back in 2007 and seems to have disappeared since. ;-(

Pretty much a copy of the 1997 Dean Bamm-Bamm, I think, although that used the boxy Battle AMP copy rear end, as seen on this smaller frame:

It was definitely a Tutin full sus. My friend had problems with it and it went back a few times for rectification. It's all coming back...

Maybe it was his one and only venture into full suspension?

There was a more b3 looking fuquay too. Was bidding on it when I lot signal a few years back. It did go to a forum member.

I have a litespeed obed fs in the garage, essentially a b3 but a ti front end.

Here we go - it exists :)
This one was Greg's own, we had a play with the rear triangle so we could fit a different rear shock hence the dark blue paint and slight curve to the top tube.
