the unofficially cool MTB drop bar thread

Is the saddle to bars drop too much?

Last time I saw something like that been ridden it was years ago; a hipster on a fixie - complete sticker clad Cincelli proper track frame, deep drop sprinter bars with pink grips, playing cards in the spokes, rubber band toe straps, etc.

His scrotum must have been in his Eastpak - it defied all riding logic.

Rode this 1991 Cannondale again last night after a few years dormant in the back of the shed - added some crosstops and fresher tyres. The tall head tube makes it all possible.

Re:

An in-progress lock-down project based on a Swiss ~1990 Verago lugged frame. There are no tube decals but 27.0 mm seat post and helical ribs at BB suggest SPX seat tube, the rest may be SP with lugged unicrown fork. I'm not sure about the DT levers off tarmac, and a bit of a reach on this frame, but it keeps the cockpit neat and retrofriction shifting remains a favorite.
