I painted the fork, new stem (shorter), new handlebar (lighter), new grips with lock-on, new tires, new saddle stem & saddle, Magura HS22
the bike is responsive, lively, and now it brakes very well

Last Monday I found this bike near my house!
In bad condition, but love is blind
I'm waiting for parts to rebuild it, and today I removed the fork
The pivot had a little rust and dried grease, but above all the expander was stuck in the tube! :x and installed upside down !!! :shock: :x
hammer & penetrating oil, and after a while the expander is released
guess why it was stuck? :mrgreen:

Composite frame. Aluminum main frame and steel stays. Just like the Mantis XCR. I believe the stays are bolted. Mantis used suntour chainring bolts. One of those early MTB experiments.
