Who has owned their Retrobike from new?

Re:

Still have my 1988 Stumpjumper, been though a few revisions since and a repaint by Chas Roberts in the mid 1990s.

Rk.

I've had my P7 since about '94-95 when I bought it as a F&F from...er...Lakeside Cycles in Thurrock which was independent back then but now seems to be part of Evans. Transferred over parts from my Cinelli Vert.Ramp (XT gruppo and wheels I built myself).
This photo might be 1997 ish as I have a bandaged knee from cruciate ligament damage. (AND a flat stomach)

Refreshed and rationalised in 2017, thanks to the good people selling stuff here.

Re:

My only remaining keeper, a FAT CHANCE Team Comp from 1989. So many special memories and places been on this bike. It was love at first sight and even now I get a tingly feeling before i get out on it.

Quite a tight rear triangle on that Caygill, possibly in keeping with his road-riding roots.
I had reason to pop in there early '90s whilst doing the Coast-to-Coast. Honestly, who puts a bike shop at the top of a massive hill?
