Can this be repaired? Is it worth repairing?

The rest of the bike seems in good nick.

Re:

It can be repaired, Where's the crack? Headtube? Speak to Dan on here about it, he's repaired a few Pace frames.
A repair will cost ££ though, is it a bike you're looking to buy? Best get a ballpark estimate for repair first, and if you can get the bike cheap enough it might be viable.

Don't think the wife would take too kindly to me spending any more money on bikes.

May hide it away until she forgets, or put it up in the for sale section as spares or repairs.

All alloy tubes can be repaired by welding, but you'll need to go for the best job, and go the whole hog by which i mean filing the weld right down to blend it in with the rest. It will be visible, but done professionally it will be considerably less noticeable.

It could outweigh any cost in buying a non cracked one.

I know the will is there to do the job, but sometimes it can overrun in cost and you go with it only to have much regret later.

I'd be drilling a small hole at the end of that crack (and I mean very end) before you start anything. You need to get the bugger to halt there and no grow any further. Weld and then perhaps plate it inside below where the headset cup goes? Are these Pace frames prone to cracks - I quite fancied trying to find an earlier one but bit put off by comments :s

It's definitely worth repairing. They're made from 7005 so post-weld heat treatment isn't strictly necessary.

1210tech had a good solution...

I'd still get Dan's opinion, see what he thinks is best for the frame.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think your other problem may be those suspicious silver marks at the front of your stem!

That's the new split clamp stem from Pace ;)

I'd be checking absolutely everything on the bike very carefully, might be more things to find.
