Re:

Liking the gold hubs  ..I was thinking about getting mine nitrided and I think the pics have convinced me to go for it. Will need some advice on how to remove the hub covers from the wheels

Re:

i never tried that, mostly because my wheels are new.. well the one with front disc brake is new, the other one in very nice condition ..
from what i learned removing the hub it should not be difficult, just need the right size tool.. just go gently..
after painting or whatever you will do, don't forget to use loctite blue before tightening the hub in place..

those are with the original Spin disc brake hub, purchased them on eBay this summer, not for cheap but considering the prices of today can say got them cheap.. originally paid for them 600$ but got an partial refund of 50$ since the seller didnt mentioned that the rear wheel has a lateral moment of 1-2mm, which its nothing for my opinion lol.. no up and down.. no wear whatsoever on braking area.. cant even feel the bearings when spinning the wheel, silky smooth .. used them for 3-4 month with v-brake and now im installing the front disc rotor .. hat trouble since this model of hub was designed to use M5 screws but not the current standart of 10mm.. it wold need at least 18mm of length to tight properly the rotor.. could find those screws where i live and ordered them on ebay.. till then, the rotor its on the bike just for cosmetically purpose lol.
sorry for the terrible english lol..

Re:

to be honest i never seen with my eyes the first hub version around.. plus i don't like to push my bike to the limits .. i'm just interested ok how the bike looks more than how it drives lol..
i'm a commuter.. almost never drive off-road
..
here some more pictures of the hub .. never seen before and probably i know you will be curious how they look..
