Chunky Tan Wall 26" Road Tyres

Hello all,

Thinking of doing a road ride on an old MTB for old-time's sake and would like to put some slicker rubber on. I know Schwalbe Big Apple are probably the best bet but I prefer the look of tan walls.

I've found some Schwalbe City Jets that look pretty good at 1.95 width, but is there anything else out there? Not looking at spending a huge amount.

Cheers,
Sam

Re:

Compass tyres are great, but not cheap.
I think Sven cycles distribute in the UK, I have some 26” x 1.8 which look the part and perform well.

I've used the butterscotch colour of the Lucky Stone tyres Minifreak linked to and I was also pleasantly surprised at how good they were, given they only cost me six or seven quid each.

I have a pair of Tioga City Slicker tan walls on the Merlin, but i think they only produce all-black these days. Try 26in BMX/Jump/Trails bikes for your search - they tend to have pretty smooth treads and be more available with two-tone colours.
