Marin Muirwoods Tange frame number help please

Hi I have just picked up a Marin Muirwoods and have tried to work out the year from the frame number I am baffled now so any help would be appreciated .The number is F28LAC195

I really like the colour.

From the badging looks like a 1998 to me.

It's the wrong colour for a 1997... and badging changed again in 1999.
