Al Carter

I got the chance to pick up an Al Carter DX but I don't know a thing about them are they any good ?The frame is Tange prestige which is half decent tubing and the bike is complete sans saddle and brakes.

Oddly, I saw a mint one in Denmark a few weeks ago, what was it doing there?

Back on topic, I think they are OK, Townsend posh brand weren't they?

Prestige tubing, DX groupset, should be fine, though the Klein and Fat Chance owners will look down on you with pity no doubt.

Thanks for the heads up Ishaw I really want a colnago master MTB that would be my unicorn I don't see many come up for sale and the ones that do are all to big.

My first MTB was an Al Carter sacramento (mid-range thing although I upgraded it). Brilliant bike. Still around now.

I have bought a couple of Al carters in the past really for spares frames not great but come with great groupsets ideal parts bikes
