Greasing cantis

Have cleaned up these M732 cantis for my Kingpin build... as you can see they were packed full of grease where the spring sits in the plastic cup.

Normally I would put a light smear of grease on the brake post and leave the rest dry. But wondering whether to pack these with fresh grease as I found them...

What do you say?

I used to fill them with grease to keep the mud out rather than anything else.
Once they fill up with mud, you have no brakes.........

The other option was to remove the cover. Not sure if you can do that on these (probably can though).

Re:

I usually put some grease in there. No one likes a rusty spring.
And as said above, stops other crap accumulating.
