Re:

Just recently I was able to find some Ferraroli on this forum. However, this does not change the amount of information exactly about this frame, because it did not find such a color :(

Re:

Hello DIMAXVELO,

Your Ferraroli shows the characteristics of their Prêt à Rouler (stock sizing, brazed in Japan, painted and assembled in Switzerland) frames from the early 1990s, which were used to build the Dolomites, Nevada and Etna bike models. Here are excepts from their 1992 catalog.

I briefly owned the following example of one with the same paint scheme as yours. As I remember, the serial number indicated it was from 1990. Since it was too small for me, I traded it to a friend, who rebuilt it with Deore DX components, similar to the Nevada specification.

In terms of value, I paid around USD 100 for the complete bike shown above, but that was in Italian-speaking Ticino, where prices are lower than the French and German speaking cantons. There has been a 1991 Dolomites in very nice condition, painted in the catalog color shown above, for sale in Swiss on-line classifieds for weeks with no takers at around USD 550.

Hope this helps. Enjoy!

The Kid

Re:

I would say the same thing than Thekidmalone.
I'ts a "Prêt à rouler" made in Japan and not built in La Chaud de Fond in Switzerland.
I would say Pre 1992 for the lugged Tange fork which disappeared in the 92 catalog.

Re:

@ Stick Legs

Funny, when there are no Ferraroli bikes listed on the Swiss eBay simulacrum, a search for the brand name often suggests Ferraboli barbecue grills as the closest available substitutes.

Cheers,
The Kid

Re:

Hello,

Anyone in possesion of this blue/pink Ferraroli?

I got one like it, but came with a too small seat post, my 27mm is too big and I couldn't get a hold of anything used to sample fit. Should be a 26.6, or 26.8.

So yeah if anyone has this model, or could point me at one he knows who does, it would be highly apreciated.

Cheers,
David

Hi Terrance,

Thanks for the reply. I assume so too, as it was more of a standard and the tubes where "standard". Yet, even though tange was used, there was quite a variation in the frames, just wanted to make sure. So far without luck. In this case I'll most likely get me a 26.8 and would have to grind off the extra .2 of the seat tube if it's too big. Just wanted to double check to eventually save the hassle ;)

Btw. I found this Catalogue page, should be '89:
Frames done in Japan, forks still house made.
