Clearly the retro mtb marketing mojo is long gone, probably in part due to the amber wall, balloon tyre, slack angled Grav bike being the current marketing mojo...

but anyway, here are a couple of Scotts at this Month's Eurobike show...

Obviously, I'm making this comment on 'Retrobikes' but surely there can't be many people that think the one on the right is better looking.

Nice to see the retros getting wheeled out every now & then, even if it is only to help sell the newer bikes.

I think if you were born after 2000 then the bike on the right is definitely the better looking one.
 
As I'm reading this, some kids have just ridden past with a playing card in the spokes, I kid you not...

Y'see, whilst the front end of that modern Scott looks all kinds of Fugly, the rear end looks better than the retro IMO. FWIW, I've never liked flat top tubes, and sloping TT's are far better looking.

I'll send my Retrobike Membership badge back now.
