USE Seatpost clamp assembly - help!

Retro Newbie
I've recently dug an old saddle and seatpost out of the garage.

As you can see the bolts have seen better days and whilst cutting them off is no problem I don't think its going to be easy to unscrew them from the rest of the clamp assembly.

Is it possible to buy the little clamps etc anywhere? Apologies. Returning to MTB after a 400 year absence.

Cheers.

Hi, i know you can still get the SX clamp kits, but not sure if they will fit on these posts!? Someone was selling a kit on here a bit ago, not sure if its still for sale, if you use the search you should find it

Re:

You might be surprised how easily they come out, especially if you blast them with something like GT85 and leave them overnight. I certainly wouldn't be cutting them yet.

PlusGas will penetrate far better than WD40 or similar - it's specifically intended for dismantling. Give it a couple of doses over a couple of days. Use your best allen key and ensure it's well seated. If you really want to maximise your chances, pour boiling water over it before undoing - the heat will shock open any stuck bits.
