The reason I have a Carrera in BoTM this month is for this very reason... I ended up with the frameset and a few bit and made a great little bike out of it. Win x 2 in my book.

Technically no, but I wouldn't ever do it. Seems a shame that a bike's made it original all this time only to get stripped down mercilessly.

Pretty much everybody has done this :lol: but i have a conscience, bikes have souls :lol: and build up the bike into a rideable cond again and make somebodies day :)

I hate seeing bikes that have survived otherwise unscathed for the past 30 years bought up and broken.
Especially if it's only done for profit.

Depends on the circumstances to some extent though.
