Okay thank you, can't see any info on Hope's website regarding the mono. Were these used for xc mtb'ing or road? I love the blue so hope they aren't road specific

Are you asking me? As above my knowledge of these hubs isn't the greatest so I wouldn't know but I do know you can buy Chris King road hubs so that was my logic plus you get fatter bodies for stiffness?
 
Road versions tend to have fewer spoke holes. Both are 100's so could use any really. The fatter bodied ones like you say are stiffer and designed for suspension forks to stiffen them back up.
